Challenge

Cult favorite sunscreen brand Sun Bum wanted to turn their internal skin cancer awareness tradition, employees wearing banana suits in May, into a consumer-facing campaign. The catch: we HAD to use a ton of their existing banana suits. How do you take a quirky internal joke and make it resonate publicly without looking ridiculous?


Big Idea

Half-jokingly, we pitched: dress a statue in every state. Because statues can't protect themselves from the sun. They bought it. We actually did it—all 50 states, 50 banana-suited statues raising skin cancer awareness. Turned a constraint into a stunt that earned massive coverage while making a real statement about sun protection.
